State Bank of India (NSE: SBIN): A sharp rise in banking stocks is seen in the first session of the series for March.

The brokerage increased its target price on the largest government bank in India, SBI, from Rs 780 to Rs 911.
In its report, the brokerage stated that the State Bank of India is expected to maintain its ROA (Return On Assets) above 1 percent despite the headwinds in the sector near-to-medium-term. ROE should be in the 18-20 percent range.
Why Do Brokers Trust SBI’s Outlook?
Normalization of credit costs is expected to compensate for the pressure on the net interest margin.
Moreover, the growth in operational expenses is low. In general, the pressure on interest margins will be reduced.
