Spicejet Ltd : SpiceJet share price: Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) recently bought shares of the budget airline SpiceJet from the market.
The spokesperson for the airline confirmed that ADIA has bought shares from SpiceJet through the open market.
A SpiceJet official stated that the stakes of institutional investors from abroad (FIIs) of SpiceJet have been increased by 5.88 percent from 0.33 percent in December 2023, to 6.21 percent by February 20, 2024.
SpiceJet has recently raised an investment of 1060 crore via an issue that was preferential to certain investors like Aries Opportunities Fund Limited and Elara India Opportunities Fund Limited.
As per airline executives, a few of the money will be utilized to pay off old loans. On February 28 SpiceJet settled the dispute worth Rs 250 crore with AerCap’s subsidiary Celestial Aviation, through talks.
