The country’s largest public sector Bank of India (BOI) NSE: BANKINDIA has announced the results for the December quarter of the financial year 2023-24 on February 2.
During this period, the bank’s profit has increased by 62.4 percent to Rs 1,869.5 crore, which was Rs 1,151 crore in this quarter a year ago.
There has been a decline of 2.4 percent in the interest income (NII) of the Bank of India, which has come down from Rs 5,595.1 crore to Rs 5,463.5 crore year on year.
Improvement In Asset Quality
Improvement has been seen in the asset quality of the Bank of India. The net NPA of the bank has come down from 1.54 percent quarter-on-quarter to 1.41 percent, while the gross NPA has come down from 5.84 percent in the last quarter to 5.35 percent in this quarter.
NIM (Global) stood at 2.85 percent in Q3FY24, while it was 3.28 percent in Q3FY23 and 3.08 percent in Q2FY24.
NIM (domestic) stood at 3.21 percent in Q3 FY 2024, while it was 3.72 percent in Q3 FY 2023 and 3.47 percent in Q2 FY 24. On February 2, Bank of India shares closed at Rs 151 with a rise of 3.85 percent on the last trading day. The 52-week high of the bank’s shares is Rs 156.25.
